The Grenoble campus is located in Saint-Martin-d'Hères et Gières, just a few kilometres from Grenoble city centre. There are numerous courses available, but the most well-known are the ones at Sciences Po Grenoble and Institut polytechnique de Grenoble (Grenoble INP) they give Saint-Martin-d’Hères its international reputation. The site also boasts high-quality technical and sports facilities, as well as many green spaces.
Life on the Grenoble University campus
The University of Grenoble offers a wide range of sporting, artistic and cultural activities. Workspaces and libraries allow everyone to work individually or in groups. The Grenoble Alpes university district is also very lively with a variety of associations and clubs dedicated to students. There are various small shops and other facilities that make for a nice, comfortable lifestyle. What's more, the campus is very close to the city centre. Students can enjoy a wide range of restaurants, bars, shops and cinemas on their doorstep. There are excellent transport links, with frequent bus and tram services from the campus to the city centre.
Finding student accommodation in Grenoble
Grenoble offers a wide range of studios, mini studios and flats for students. However, with so many young graduates looking for accommodation, it's important to plan ahead and choose the right area. Take the time to check the distances between the university you're attending and your flat, as well as considering the surrounding amenities and living environment. We recommend the Gières Campus student residence. Located just a few minutes from the university campus on foot, it's in a great location, right next to the Condillac Universités tramway station and the Vignate bus stop. As an added bonus, this residence only opened in 2021 and offers new fully furnished and equipped flats!
