Are you about to start your studies in Clermont-Ferrand? The first step in your life as an independent adult is to find accommodation! Feeling fed-up with searching the internet for a nice, well-equipped flat, close to your classes and shops with good transport links? Well, you’re in luck! The Nemea Clermont Centre residence meets all these criteria!
Say no to shared toilets and carpeted walls! The Clermont Centre residence opened in 2016 and has nothing but pleasant surprises in store. The 99 studios measuring 18 to 24m2, are all ultra-functional and bright. Whether you're a Master Chef wannabe or the King of ready meals, the kitchenette will come in handy, with a fridge, microwave and hob you just need to get started... Maybe a couple of cooking classes would come in handy? Is tidying up not really your thing? Each studio has multiple storage spaces to make it easier for you (you’ll still have to put stuff away mind you, we don’t have a magic wand!). The studios are designed to give you maximum space in a flash: a folding chair, a table on wheels that slides under the desk, a trundle bed that becomes a double bed while taking up the space of a single bed... Clever arrangements mean you even have room to welcome a guest. You also have your own shower room, a great luxury for a student residence! As for the décor, walls with bright colours will boost your motivation and concentration: we're counting on you to be at the top of your class!
You’ll quickly feel at home in the Nemea Clermont Centre residence! There’s a gym to help you unwind or build up muscle (here comes your summer body). To perfect your regime, a personal trainer also offers a weekly cardio/muscle sculpting class and yoga classes during exam periods. Stress management is a breeze!
Lacking a bit of motivation to get on with your studies in your room? Come down and study in the co-working room: it's the ideal place to revise or work on a project in a group. Need a little (or big) break? Between exams, allow yourself some respite in the common room: sit on the sofa and watch a rugby match or your favourite Netflix series! You could even improve your Spanish by watching Money Heist.
To keep up with the great friendly atmosphere in Clement, the residence regularly organises events for you to meet your neighbours: a welcome drink in September, the "Galette des Rois", Candlemas etc. There are loads of opportunities to meet each other and exchange information about your courses or the best places to go out!

Close to Place de Jaude, the city's central point, the Clermont Centre residence is a stone's throw from your classes: ESC, ESDAC and ESCO can be reached in less than 10 minutes on foot, UFR de Médecine, the Carnot and Gergovia campuses and ENSCAF are 15 minutes away by tram and the Cézeaux campus is 25 minutes away by tram. The icing on the cake: bus and tram stations are less than 500 m from the residence! So convenient, especially if you’re a late riser!
The students in the residence are also lucky in terms of evening and leisure activities. Bars, restaurants, banks, supermarkets, shopping centres and cinemas are all within a 5 minute walk. Looking for something fun and cool to do with your friends? The Life'Scape escape game and Défonce de Rire café/theatre are 2 minutes away from the residence. Fun outings to take your mind off your studies for an evening.
Clermont-Ferrand: a sporty and cultural student town
Clermont-Ferrand is a friendly-sized city, and every year it attracts more and more students, who now represent a quarter of its population. That's a lot of students! This historic capital of the Auvergne organises many events, such as the Europavox Festival, Coopérative de Mai, the Short Film Festival and many others.
In September, the city even organises a welcome week for all its students. It's a great opportunity to meet people! The programme includes concerts, obstacle courses, cinema, talk shows, and ends with a multi-sports challenge: the Clermont Student Cup. Will you take up the challenge? Clermont-Ferrand is also home to museums, a legendary rugby team and many lively places to go out where you can enjoy a fun night over a drink or on the dance floor.
There aren’t many French cities like this, where you can get up close and personal with nature. A 10-minute drive will take you to the Chaîne des Puys and its ancient volcanoes, which are listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. More of a winter sports fan? The Super-Besse ski resort is only an hour away. No doubt about it: you’ll love studying in Clermont-Ferrand.
