 Don’t fancy walking for miles to get everywhere? The Aix Campus 1 residence has excellent public transport links, perfect for making the most of your student life. The bus stop is just 700m from the residence and several lines take you to the city centre in just 15 minutes. Most of the university campuses and schools are within walking distance, such as Académie d’Art Dentaire, Ecole de la Nativité, ISEC, the Law and Science campuses of AMU, IUT and even Merkure Business School.  Simply put, you're close to everything. If you love a lie-in, you'll still have time for a quick coffee before you need to be in the lecture hall.

 Are you the restless type, always up for a night out?  You won't be disappointed! Check out the latest blockbuster at the nearby cinema!  Fancy a dip?  The swimming pool is just a stone's throw away. How about a little bowling?  Rock those stylish bowling shoes and keep the strikes coming. If you're not much of a chef, or you're too lazy to cook, check out the restaurants and small bars located just next to the residence.  If you don't know what Poutargue is yet, you will soon!  Time to Party?  For partying 'til dawn, the Rotonde district and Cours Mirabeau are full of cool bars where you can have a drink, dance and listen to music. Home late after a long day of classes and your fridge looks as empty as the Gobi Desert? Don't panic, in two minutes you'll be at the nearest supermarket,  and for the shopaholics, the Allées Provençales shopping centre is a 10-minute bus ride away.

Student life in Aix 

 Being bored simply isn't possible in Aix!  Every year, this Provençal city (smelling rather awesomely of lavender from the scrublands) organises ultra-acclaimed cultural events. Mark your calendars! In June, shake your stuff to electro music at the Electroshock festival, in summer, sit back and watch great films outdoors with the Instants d'été. And for when your nan and grandad want to visit, there's even an opera festival.   Aix-en-Provence has everything to please.
